What’s The Deal With Positive Affirmations?
You may have heard talk about affirmations going around lately, what’s the deal? Well, these days can be demanding and hard on our mental health. I know what it’s like to have crippling anxiety and days where I don’t want to get out of bed. The thing about me though is that I’m always fighting to beat the negativity with positivity. In order to not let those feelings consume me, I do everything I can to live a positive lifestyle. The thing that I, among many others, practice to kick negative thoughts to the curb? You guessed it. Positive affirmations.
Positive affirmations are positive statements towards yourself and the purpose is to reinforce positive thinking and behavior. We all deal with self-doubt and insecurities so using positive affirmations helps to turn those negative thoughts around. If you’re constantly doubting your looks, for example, an affirmation you should focus on is “I am beautiful the way I am.” If you practice these affirmations regularly, those negative thoughts start to go away. Using positive affirmations is also a big part of manifestation but I’m going to talk about that topic in an upcoming post. 25 of my most common affirmations are below.

How Do I Use These Affirmations?
If there’s one thing I recommend, it’s having a notebook full of positive quotes and affirmations that you add to every day. This idea is perfect for when you’re having a bad day and really beating yourself up. Open up that notebook and repeat the words you see on that page. Honestly, you should do this even when you’re having a good day. Keep that mindset. That way, you can reinforce some positivity into your day every day.
