Blogmas Day 6: How To Survive Being Single During The Holidays

December 6, 2018

Being single during the holiday season can seem to be more lonely than any other season. You go on Instagram and all you see is those cute holiday couple pictures. You go on Twitter and see some girl tweeting about how she’s spoiling her boyfriend for Christmas. Then there’s you and all you have is your cat. Oh, sorry that’s me! Back to my point, it’s so easy to feel so lonely and sorry for yourself when you don’t have a significant other to spend Christmas with. Well, it’s time to stop feeling that way.

The first thing you should remember is just because you don’t have somebody to spend the holidays with this year, doesn’t mean you’ll never have somebody to spend future holidays with. You will not be lonely forever.

5 Perks of Being Single During the Holidays:

  • You don’t need to stress out about what to get him/her.
  • You have extra money to spend on your family and friends instead.
  • You can spend more quality time with family and friends.
  • You can go to holiday parties and mingle. Maybe you’ll find your special one there or just some new friends.
  • Being single means you can focus on you and whatever you want to do.

Even if you’re single this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t make the best out of it. You know those cute couple pictures you keep seeing all over social media? One day you’ll be posting some too. You most likely won’t be single forever. Now is your time to do things single people can do but for now, just love yourself.

Thank you for reading!

  1. I love this post Amanda! I’m recently single and all I have is my cats too. I was only thinking the other day that at least I’m saving money this year, ha ha. It’s not all bad, thank you for sharing such a positive post. Like you say, it won’t be like this forever. Have a wonderful festive season lovely! <3 xx
