My June Goals

Its a new month so it’s time for some new goals! Goal setting is very important to me. It allows me to think about what I want and need to accomplish for the month and I become focused to complete as many as I can.

Recap on May

May has been one of the best and worst months of my year so far. It was my birthday month (I had a great birthday!) but I was also robbed a week after. Thankfully, my Macbook and a card with no money on it were the only things stolen. It could have been a lot worse for sure. I also got my first credit card and gave my blog a makeover! It’s been a roller coaster of a month for sure. Which is why I’m excited about a clean slate this month. What will June bring me?

Personal Goals

  • Drink more water. This goal has been in many of my previous goal posts. I still haven’t quite conquered this one as well as I’d like.
  • Start a new book. Last month, my family and I went down to the local library and got library cards. I’ve realized I really need to start reading again. Leave any suggestions on what I should read in the comments!
  • Create a workout routine. I have fallen out of touch with working out for the past couple of months and I need to get back into it!
  • Put $200 in my puppy savings. I mentioned a while back that I’m saving for a puppy. I already know what breed I want and I’m super excited for when I have enough!

Social Media Goals

  • Twitter: 2,000 followers
  • Instagram: 1,000 followers
  • Blog: 20 email subscribers (I switched to MailChimp so I went from having 300 subscribers to 11 – love that)
  • Tailwind: I have a free month of Tailwind so I’m excited to put it to use!
  • I’m also going to be more engaging on all of my social media accounts. I want to connect more.

Those are my goals for the month! I don’t have a lot and they’re all pretty simple this month which is totally fine. You don’t need to have big goals every single month. I personally think that would wear you out especially if you have other things going on in your life. But it’s all up to you! My May Goals | My Birthday Month

Who’s ready to make some goals? It’s finally May and I’m so excited! The weather is much nicer, the flowers are blooming, and it’s my birthday month! I can’t believe I’ll be turning 22 on the 12th. This year is pretty special because my birthday falls on Mother’s Day. This month, I really want to focus on self-care and not create any goals that are too stressful.

Normally in a goals post, I reflect on last months goals post and then proceed to the goals for the current month. The problem with that is, I didn’t make a goals post last month. I know, oops. Last month, I spent a lot of time switching my blog over to being self-hosted. It was nerve-wracking but it was definitely the best decision I’ve made for my blog.

Enough rambling, let’s get into my goals for May!

Personal Goals:

  • Pay off my phone 5 months early! (I actually completed this a week ago, I was too excited)
  • Apply for a credit card
  • Get my nails done for my birthday
  • Purchase the Erin Condren Life Planner! (Birthday gift to self)

I’m so excited to accomplish these personal goals this month. I think I’m most nervous to apply for a credit card only because I was denied once. Since then though, I’ve been paying off my student loans and my credit score has been going up a little bit. I’m very responsible with my money so I know making payments on time won’t be a problem. Cross your fingers I get accepted!

The thing I’m most excited for I think is purchasing the Erin Condren Life Planner which launches on May 8th. I’ve been expressing how much I love planning my months out and obviously making goals. I’m excited to create a fun planner that I can be creative and stay organized all at the same time.

Social Media Goals:

  • Twitter: 1,700 followers (Currently at 1,651)
  • Instagram: 1k followers (Currently at 924)
  • YouTube: 900 subscribers (Currently at 846)
  • Blog: 1k views (Currently at 578)

Just a year ago, I had no idea what I was doing when it came to social media. Especially on Instagram! The fact that I’m so close to my goal of 1k is insane. I’ve been learning so much and putting what I’ve learned into practice. I really want to take a moment to thank everybody who has stuck around and supported me and this journey that I’m on. I’m doing what I love and you make it possible.
