Blogmas Day 8 – Red Lip Holiday Glam

When I think of the perfect holiday look, I always think of a bold red lip. It’s like the staple to holiday looks. I always like to play around with my makeup to create makeup looks according to the season/holiday. After trial and error, I believe I created my favorite Christmas/New Years makeup look and I wanted to share it with you guys!

Here are the products that I use to create this look! Also, most of these products I’ve received in past Ipsy bags so that’s why they’re mini sizes.

So first things first, primer! I use the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer.

Next, I add some Bye Bye Undereye Illuminator concealer from It Cosmetics under my eyes and on any blemishes to cover up the redness. This is my favorite concealer right now because it covers blemishes so well.

For foundation, I use my Avon True Color Flawless foundation. This is a really nice medium to full coverage foundation and as you can see in the picture, I use it all of the time!

To set my foundation, I use the Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay finishing powder. This powder is like adding a filter to your face in real life. It smooths everything out!

Time to bronze & highlight!

For bronzer, I use the Ciate Bamboo Bronzer in Palm Island.

I love using the Elf Shimmer in the shade gold as a highlighter. I remember getting this at the dollar store and not believing how amazing it was! It’s very pigmented and gives you a serious glow.

After the face is done, I have to do my eyebrows. My natural hair is such a light brown so I need to bring those brows to life! I use the Revlon Colorstay Brow Kit.

Next, it’s time for eyeshadow! It should come as no surprise that I’m using my favorite Jaclyn Hill Palette. I feel like this is a very easy and quick eyeshadow look. I swipe (1) all over lid. Then I use (2) in my crease. Next, to darken it up a little bit, I use (3) in my outer corners. Then for some shimmer, I pop (4) in the middle of my lid. That’s it!

Now, we move on to eyeliner. I use the Ciate Starstruck eyeliner to create a winged look. Then I use my Avon Glimmerstick in black for my bottom waterline. It’s so creamy and glides on so effortlessly.

Then I apply mascara. I use the Covergirl Super Thick lash mascara.

Finally, it’s time to apply the one product that will pull the entire look together. The red lip! I’ve been loving the Tarte Tartiest lip paint in Vibin. It’s such a pretty dark red and I love it.

That’s the entire holiday makeup look! I plan on making a YouTube channel tutorial on this look soon so you can actually watch me do these steps. Let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in.

Thank you so much for reading!
