My February Ipsy Bag – Full Review

Hey guys! I know I haven’t posted a new blog post in a couple of weeks but everyone needs to take a short break once in a while and that’s totally okay. I’m back and feeling more motivated than ever!

My favorite part of every month would be finding that pink Ipsy package sitting in my mailbox. I get so excited to try out the products. 9 times out of 10, I spoil the surprise and look at what I’m getting on the Ipsy website. So yes, I knew exactly what I was getting in my bag this month but trying out the products is the best part! The products look great but will I love it? Will I find my new holy grail product?

For February, Washington got the most snow we’ve seen in a really long time. We’re talking about getting snowed in! The first day that I was actually able to walk out to my mailbox without falling was on Valentine’s day which is when I received my bag! Perfect timing if you ask me.

My first thing that I notice when I open the pink package is obviously the bag and this month, it is SO cute! Not that I’ve ever received a bag that wasn’t cute. The kiss prints all over definitely give a cute Valentines Day vibe. I love it.

The Products Inside:

The first product that I pulled out was this eyeshadow from The Balm. It’s in a cute retro-styled compact that is magnetic! The shade “Take It For Granite” is a metallic lavender and it is so pigmented! I used this shade all over my lid and it was perfect to use all on its own. No other colors needed! This eyeshadow can be found in the Alternative Rock Vol. 1 palette which is valued at $27.50

My favorite makeup product to use is always highlighter! When I saw I was getting this in my bag, I honestly did a little dance around my room. Too many highlighters? Not a thing! This is the Ciate London highlighter in the shade “Moondust.” It has a pink undertone and is so pretty when you apply it! It definitely brings out an eye-catching glow. It is actually one of my favorites in my highlighter collection now!

Retail price: $32

The Be Bright Illuminating concealer from Kokie Professional quickly became my new favorite concealer! I got this in the shade ‘light’ which is perfect for brightening underneath my eyes and even highlighting areas of my face! This product is true to its name because it really does Illuminate. I’ve been looking for a concealer that does this and this one does it well!

Retail price: $8

The Coconut Oil + Coffee body butter from Purlisse is a great lotion! I’ve been using it as a hand moisturizer and it really does leave my hands feeling silky smooth and moisturized throughout the day. It has a light coconut scent that is also nice. I was hoping it would smell like coffee but that’s just the coffee lover in me speaking!

Retail price: $10

The last product in the bag is that cute pink powder brush (50F) by F.A.R.A.H shown in the pictures above. It’s super pretty and goes well in my makeup brush collection. It’s also very soft and applies/sets powder perfectly! I couldn’t find the brush on their website so I’m not sure of the retail price but by using it I can tell its very good quality.

Overall, I would honestly give this months bag a rating of 5/5 again! I love everything that I received and will be putting each product to good use. My favorite product that I received would definitely be the highlighter! If you’d like to check out last months Ipsy bag review, click here.

  1. I was just wondering if the lotion was greasy or left a thick film on your hands? I love getting new scented lotions, but hate that feeling…I’ve wanted to try this box, but was afraid I would always get colors that I hated…

  2. I’ve never heard of this subscription box before or any of the products inside, so this made a really interesting read! That eyeshadow looks amazing and now I feel like I need to get it lol. Thanks for sharing! x
