What’s The Deal With Positive Affirmations?
You may have heard talk about affirmations going around lately, what’s the deal?
Well, these days can be demanding and hard on our mental health. I know what it’s like to have crippling anxiety and days where I don’t want to get out of bed. The thing about me though is that I’m always fighting to beat the negativity with positivity. In order to not let those feelings consume me, I do everything I can to live a positive lifestyle.
The thing that I, among many others, practice kicking negative thoughts to the curb? You guessed it. Positive affirmations.
Positive affirmations are positive statements towards yourself. The purpose is to reinforce positive thinking and behavior.
We all deal with self-doubt and insecurities so using positive affirmations helps to turn those negative thoughts around.
If you’re constantly doubting your looks, for example, an affirmation you should focus on is “I am beautiful the way I am.”
If you practice these affirmations regularly, those negative thoughts start to go away. Using positive affirmations is also a big part of manifestation but I’m going to talk about that topic in an upcoming post. 25 of my most common affirmations are below..
25 Positive Affirmations:
- I am beautiful.
- I am strong.
- I am enough.
- I am powerful.
- I am successful.
- I am lovable & loved.
- I am valuable.
- I am not a quitter.
- I believe in myself.
- I am always improving
- I am mindful.
- I am unique.
- I am not my mistakes.
- I will create the life that I want.
- I am not alone.
- I am grateful for my journey.
- I am here for a reason.
- I am doing my best & that’s enough.
- I respect my body.
- I deserve to be treated with respect.
- I deserve to be happy.
- I forgive those who have hurt me.
- I accept changes in my life.
- I am in control of my life.
- I will achieve great things today.

How Do I Use These Affirmations?
If there’s one thing I recommend, it’s having a notebook full of positive quotes and affirmations that you add to every day. This idea is perfect for when you’re having a bad day and really beating yourself up. Open up that notebook and repeat the words you see on that page. Honestly, you should do this even when you’re having a good day. Keep that mindset. That way, you can reinforce some positivity into your day every day.
I created a FREE printable of this list for anybody who needs it. Place this list anywhere you will see it often for a daily boost of positivity.
I hope these affirmations helped anybody who really needed them today.

Leadership affirmations says
from beating anxiety to making your life better all around. I would have to agree that using affirmations each morning helps your day be better richer and fuller. Then if you add your goals to those list. That way your goals stay at the top of your mind and are more likely to be accomplish them.
I love this! Positive affirmations can go a long way 🙂
These are definitely things I need to be telling myself more often. It’s kind to be kind, even to yourself!

Hi Amanda. One thing’s for sure, there is way too much negativity in the world these days and not enough positivity. So, if positive affirmations can help to change this, I say ‘Bring it on’. Thanks for sharing.

These are lovely! I don’t usually use affirmations but today I actually wrote some in a tweet! It felt good to be positive about myself
That’s awesome to hear, Emma! Keep at it. (:
I need to begin working on saying these things to myself on a daily basis. I see them now and think, “somewhat cheesy,” but I know that if I were to actually preach these affirmations to my self, aloud, every day… it would make a massive difference over time. Thank you for sharing them. I love the idea of writing them out as well!

I love this — so useful especially if you’re new to using affirmations (which I consider myself to be still). I shared a great piece by Alex Elle on my site today (it’s the post about quotes for transformation) and she has a great way of creating affirmations that I’ve found so useful. Thanks for sharing this!
Nice answers in return of this question with firm arguments and explaining all regarding that.
