We all want to live a purposeful and passionate life. We all want to live a life we love but not all of us know how to get there. Living the life you love is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. It did not come easy to me either, but it is the ultimate dream here and we all want to achieve that. How do you design and live a life that you love? Keep reading.
First, I want to share this quote from Brian Tracy. He said “When you decide to make your happiness the chief organizing principle in life, everything else will fall into pieces and you will probably never make the same mistakes again” This is our biggest hint here to live a life we love. It’s all about happiness.
In the pursuit of living the life you want; you also are on the journey of achieving the highest degree of happiness. And here’s the good news, being happy is something you can learn to do and be!
Things You Can Change
1. Change your perspective
What does changing your perspectives and beliefs have to do with living the life you love? Why is it important? In one of Tony Robin’s talks, he said that the beliefs we have are guiding every decision we make. Think about this, if you make different beliefs, you will make different decisions and if you make different decisions, you make different actions. Different actions give us different results.
Are your beliefs derailing you from pursuing the life you want? Change your beliefs and perspectives in life. Make a change in your environment or the people you surround yourself with.
2. Change the Patterns in your life
Being happy in life is being fulfilled and purposeful. It is when you feel strong, free, authentic, honest, and unlimited. And this is almost impossible to achieve without breaking some patterns and making any changes. You need to do something different. Because you can’t expect to change and improve your life if you’re doing the same things over and over.

Evaluate yourself and your habits. What does your routine look like? Remember to tell the truth and be honest with yourself. Understand what’s driving you and what fuels you. Understand what makes you happy and start breaking that cycle and do something different.
How To Live a Life You Want
1. Design your Lifestyle and Take Action
The first thing you need to do is design the life you love. What are your priorities? What are your goals and values in life? Once you know what you want in life, make a vision board. May it be on your walls, journal, or your desktop wallpaper.
Jen Sincero emphasized the importance of creating vision boards in her book “You Are a Badass” because it brings clarity to what you want to experience in life. It brings motivation and inspiration to you.
I believe in the power of designing your lifestyle, creating goals, and defining your values to manifest the life that you want. But designing is never enough. The next thing you do is take action with your goals because it’s the action that brings results.
2. Work on your Finances
There is so much we can do with our lives if we are financially free. It allows us to do the things we love. Financial freedom gives us the opportunity to follow our dreams and passions. So, work on your finances, save money and multiply your income streams. Here are some ways you can save more money.

Start putting money on your savings account as you need it when you transition toward your new life. Find other ways to make more money and diversify your source of income.
The more you can cultivate that sense of financial abundance, the more you can feel that sense of freedom and freedom leads to happiness. So, one of the fastest ways to create the life you love is to improve your finances because if you are not stable, you feel scarcity and you should not be living from scarcity. You should be living from joy and happiness.
3. Always be true to yourself
Part of living the life you love is being true to yourself. Brian Tracy also said that we all have unique definitions of happiness. And only you can be the best version of yourself when you allow your definition of happiness to be the guiding light of every part of your life.
Remember the first quote I shared: When you decide to make your happiness the chief organizing principle in life, everything else will fall into pieces.
Being true to yourself allows you to listen to your heart. It allows you to get in touch and understand your feelings and listen to yourself. Because the truth is, we make the best decisions when we are being true to ourselves and when we are the best version of ourselves.
4. Accept your Flaws and Imperfections
A lot of us believe that if we just tick off all the items in our “things to do before 30” list life would be perfect. But to tell you the truth life doesn’t work that way. Our problems never go away and as Mark Manson said in his article The hidden cost of happiness, perfection doesn’t exist. Perfection can be approached but never reached.
If we constantly aim for perfection, we can never live the life we love. As soon as we accept our flaws and imperfections, the faster we get to living the life we love. Our problems will never go away and the sooner we accept that life becomes easier and happier. Remember to live for progress over perfection because perfection is a myth.
Flaws and imperfections are not always bad as how social media portrays them. You can always turn your flaws into strengths. One of the things that derail us from living the life we want is we live up to society’s expectations and standards. Well, when you accept your imperfections, you’ll understand that you don’t have to conform to all society’s standards anymore.
CONCLUSION
Living the life we love is a journey every one of us wants to take. It may not be as easy as we picture it but with the help of these tips and guides, you can get there. Remember to be true to yourself and accept your imperfections. Pursue progress instead of perfection and work on your finances too. Expect trials within your journey but don’t give up easily. It’s part of the journey!
Are you ready to start living the life you design? What can you do today to begin and ensure you start living a life you love?

Financial freedom is something I am striving for and plan to make wise financial moves from now on.
Accepting our imperfections and flaws is so important in life, it can help us see what may potentially get in our way while revealing to us what we can focus or work on to reach our goals (which living a life we love is a pretty significant one we should all strive for). Thanks for these tips — they were super useful!
Changing my perspective was such a challenging but yet rewarding thing. I have always struggled with my weight and feeling down because I was never what I felt to be “good enough”. Recent I had a few fairly major life changing things happen and I stopped focusing on my eatting and worrying about what others thought. This led to me feeling better about myself than I have in a very long time.
Excellent tips! Being true to ourselves is so important.
It’s so hard to accept our flaws, but that’s a great reminder of why it’s so important to work on it.
Changing your perspective is definitely the first best step. You get to your dream life if you continue with the same negative thinking patterns. Great post!

great reminders here – Amanda! we all deserve a life we love and sometimes all it takes is a change in perspective. 🙂
